No, Candy, this refrigerator model does not have to be plugged into a GFCI outlet, however; the outlet is grounded and is 120V, 60 Hz. If the outlet does not meet these requirements, contact an electrician. Have a great day, -Ernest-
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In general, it’s best NOT to plug refrigerators into GFCI outlets. The compressor on a fridge/ freezer causes a spike on startup, which can trip a GFCI.
