You can do anything on chrome u can do on a more expensive windows cpu. I suggest using your google 100 gigs to store any docs u wanna keep. Use 2 64 gig memory sticks or 64 gig mini sd that go in left side of chrome book.(back up everything on any device you use=I also suggest you keep any videos on a separate mem stick because vids take more space than anything. There is an add on or extension for everything that needs translated to the widows compatible files and vice versa. If you have any questions there are a lot of easy to find answers, go to settings top middle of page for about chrome os, then just click on it and go from there. Forgot to mention...Read the reviews for extensions and add ons because some are much better than others and also remember some comments are from windows users using only the chrome browser not a chrome book. I have a 4 year old chrome book that has a hard drive-it's a dinosaur and it still works great. I just wanted my own and gave my wife the choice of the older or newer book. SAMSUNG 11.6" CHROMEBOOK 3 4GB XE500C13----For the price you can't go wrong and it will last a very long time and still be functional and a back up for the next one you get. Once you go chrome book take a month to get into it, it's easier than windows and I've never gotten a virus!
