Noise like buzz saw The noise goes off several times in 24 hours, loud enough to be heard several rooms away. Lasts a few seconds and then clicks off. Ice maker is not connected. Anyone else experience this? Frig installed last week.

I'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with your RF18HFENBSR. If the ice maker isn't connected to water, please be sure to disable it on the control panel by pressing the Ice Off button so it's illuminated. This will prevent the noises associated with the Refrigerator attempting to draw water to make ice. Yes, also experienced same problem. Need to turn off ice maker on control panel of refrigerator as well as manually turning it off.

Ice maker may not be connected, but is the option turned off using the controls on top

Yes! I received my fridge on 11/30/15, I haven't installed the ice maker yet since I need to get a longer attachment. Also experiencing a weird sound that goes off and on.

Yes. You need to push the panel button to turn off the ice maker. The noise stopped after I did that.
