The RF217ACPN is 32-1/4" wide, and Samsung recommends leaving about 1" on either side, as well as 2" above and behind the refrigerator to allow sufficient air flow for the cooling system to work properly and most efficiently. Since the door is opening into a wall, you would really need 3-3/4" on that side for the handles to clear so the door could open at least 90-degrees and provide unobstructed access to the crisper drawer. Thank you for considering Samsung, Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a very small space between the wall and counter. My last refrig measured 31". I doubted if I could get a side by side in there. I went to Best Buy, showed the sales rep my measurements and he took me straight to THIS refrig. I was against Bottom freezers until he demonstrated. I bought it and they delivered. It fit perfectly and still had a good half inch on either side. Also there is no water filter included which the delivery man said that he had never seen before; but, it was his first time seeing this model. I had bought a filter separately. He read the instructions and installed it. I could NOT believe that he actually READ the book...no jerryrigging!! My food fit perfectly into the freezer. The refrigerator's shelves are NOT adjustable; but, trust me, with this product, THAT is nothing to complain about. Within two hours, the temp was cold enough in the freezer to freeze my meat again. Excellent product!!
