“Will this sound bar play my tv sound only and have the tv speakers quiet? I want just the sound bar to omit sound and not my tv... is that possible? Or does this sound bar just enhance the tv sound.”

We are able to turn off the TV speakers with our TV remote in the sound settings for the TV and then the sound only comes out of the soundbar. If you can't turn off your TV speakers completely, you can probably turn them down completely with your TV remote and then just use the soundbar remote for listening. The soundbar quality is really good by itself.

Please try again later.I have a Samsung tv set up via bluetooth to my sound bar, and only the sound bar emits sound, it mutes the tv speakers all together, I had the same result with a wired connection to my tv. And I also can connect the sound bar via bluetooth to my phone, and once I disconnect, the sound bar connects right back to my tv all by itself
