Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm just going to make a suggestion here - I found when replacing my old microwave that dimensions on all of them were quite different - the only dimension that stayed the same was the width. I'd be cautious about custom building cabinetry for any one size since there's no guarantee in ten years you'll be able to match the dimensions. You might want to check with Samsung as to whether such an installation would void the warranty.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, you can use the microwave for the purposes that you were asking about, however the fact that it is an over-the-range microwave, you might be over spending your money, since you won't get the full functionality of it, like the Fans or LED lights that are underneath the microwave. But the choice is really yours at this point, IMO
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi LIBBA, Thanks for your interest in the ME21F707MJT. Samsung doesn't recommend installing an Over the Range Microwave in an enclosed area for a couple of reasons. Not only does it not have legs to raise it up and keep it stable while sitting on a surface, but the cook top light and exhaust fan could either be damaged or cause damage if inadvertently turned on without being installed properly. - Ms. Samsung
