The fan speeds are amazingly Fast. They suck up all the steam/smoke very swiftly! The LED lights are very bright and useful in the evenings when you don't want to have all the kitchen lights on.

Heating food for periods longer than 5min results in total power loss of the unit , so after jumping through hoops they replaced it and it still dose the same thing still waiting to hear back Samsung reps are idiots and they blame the customer for every single thing wrong with there products, installation best buy sub contracts it out those people don't know what they're doing they mangled my brand new remodeled cabinets , so basically this product is a nightmare and I'm still waiting to wake up .

Great Microwave & Nice Features

I bought this microwave to replace a 6 year old Samsung unit, and to match up with my Samsung Chef's Collection, slide in range. My selection amounted to really liking the glass touch sensitive buttons on the range, and my desire to get away from the mylar touch panels that seem to have problems.
As a microwave, it has more than enough features to keep me happy, so I'd like to highlight the best of the features here:
The positioning of the counter top lights is in the front section of the unit, so they really light up the cooking surface of the range. In addition, they are LED units that have a nice cool white light. (see photo#
The interior of the unit is lit by a nice, bright halogen bulb, and even though the interior is gray in color it is still adequate.
I like that the counter top lights can be set up to go on and off at a preselected time, and they come on at low brightness to greet us in the morning.
The unit is much quieter than any other one we've ever owned.
The exhaust fan has 4 speeds that range from muted in sound all the way up to the usual roar on high.
Mounting was speeded up a bit because I was able to continue using the wall mounting plate from my old unit with no need to move it.
Unfortunately, Samsung has changed mounting bolt locations that go thru the bottom of the cabinet above it. This required very careful locating, and drilling, along with moving the existing reinforcing under the bottom of the cabinet. Not a big deal for me, but some folks might feel challenged doing this themselves.
The sensor cooking buttons work very well, and do a great job on popcorn or reheating a plate of food. You should be aware that when you use the sensor cooking, the manual recommends you wait for 5 minutes before you use sensor cooking again #I assume to allow the sensors to clear their sniffers).
The only thing I feel worth noting is that with the glass / touch sensitive buttons, use up about 1/3 of the total glass surface on the door. This coupled with a noticeably denser screen to look thru, makes watching your food cook a bit harder for both short and tall folks.

We only use a microwave for warming food, cooking veggies or making popcorn. That's all we've ever done with ANY microwave we've ever had. The times when I tried to get fancy (like defrosting things, softening things, cooking meat, etc), resulted in disaster, every time. You might ask why we have such a fancy oven then. The answer is because all of them at this price point do things we will NEVER need, and this was the one that went best with the other appliances in the kitchen. Microwave foods on two levels? Can't think of a reason we'd do that, so I just tossed out that nice (but unneeded) rack.
I like the dark interior that looks like the inside of a regular oven. It seems to be MUCH easier to clean and keep clean. I like the huge size and it seems to have a tad bit more power than the one it replaced.
Besides paying extra for things we'd never do with a microwave, there are only 3 other things I don't like: NONE of the buttons light up and the labels for the buttons don't contrast with the dark door of the oven, so it's hard to use it in the dark (like to turn the underside light on or off). You have to touch the buttons several times, at different pressures, to get it to do what you want. It must be a Samsung thing because the same can be said for our new Samsung fridge. One final bother is that the LED light underneath the unit is too dim to be used for anything but a nightlight. It's useless to light the cooktop below it.
I guess it sounds like I don't like our new Samsung microwave, but it works and looks nice, so the rest of the things are just bothers. I'd still recommend it, but you should think about the negatives I noted before buying it.

Great customer service, but product is junk. After installers left, I went to defrost some hamburger for supper only to find the digital read out was already going out straight out of box. Digital read out is bad in defrost, timer, reheat and other modes but is fine in idle clock mode. This is a replacement for another Samsung microwave that went bad. Our original one had a convection over and the replacement Best Buy sent is without a convection oven, so it wasn’t a comparable warranty replacement at all. Very disappointed!!!!!

Humidity Sensors broke during year 2 of ownership. We get constant error codes when trying to run this. Keep in mind that repair or replacement is a nightmare as this is installed on the wall over your stove. Would not recommend ANY Samsung appliance as we suffered constant failures on our Samsung refrigerator too.

I have had this for just over a month and love it. It was fairly easy to install and looks great in my newly updated kitchen. I like the LED lighting over the stove as its nice and bright. the glass touchpadd can sometimes seem touch when i add 0 to a number but usually i press it again and it works.

I replaced a Samsung over range microwave with another Samsung but missed some features of the old range such as the 1 minute button, the small door and the button/clock arrangement. However, the vent screen is easier to remove and clean, the thaw option is better and the inside is earlier to clean. I'm getting used to the button/clock arrangement and it delivers the same power as my old microwave.

This is avast improvement over the GE Spacesaver microwave it replaced. It is quiet and spacious, with a rack for heating two dishes at a time. Have just used it for reheating so far. The 3-speed fan and 2-level LED lighting are pluses.

Not your ordinary microwave. Buttons on the bottom make it easier and interesting. Larger than your average microwave from the inside and extremely quiet when heating up food.

I purchased this product for my new home. Had problems in a month or two with buttons not working. Luckily I bought the service plan. Panel had to be replaced but since then it has worked fine. Cleaning is a must prints will be visible. Inside space is great with removable rack.

After recent remodel we replaced all our appliances with Samsung products. This microwave is very easy to install even though Samsung placed bolt-down holes in the different location than my previous Kenmore microwave. At least they didn't overlap. They recommend two people installing it but I did it myself without any problems. Make sure you pull out your range-oven. Microwave heats things up quickly and if you use proper dishes they will stay cool. The only thing I am missing that I had on the previous microwave is instant start. Used to press 1 and microwave would start on high for one minute. On this one I have to press 100start to do the same thing. Oh well. I just press +30sec button a couple of times and it works out just fine for now. Got a great deal at BestBuy but their installation services are way too expensive. Sumsung makes great products, so go ahead buy it, you won't regret it later.

It is a very sleek microwave that works great for what I want. The buttons are little unresponsive at times though I noticed. You really have to push them right. The heating has been great and have noticed no problems. For a 2.1 cubic feet microwave it actually takes up very little room.

The microwave was easy to install. The instructions and templates were very easy to understand. It's a good size oven and I love the 30+ feature. Using it a lot more than I thought I would. It's really a nice looking microwave and the bottom button feature gives it a nice clean look.

Big micro, easy to clean interior. I really like the LED cooktop lights, the front touch interface is nice, but not as cool as I had imagined. Working great so far, good sensor heating as well. Wish the buttons were backlit somehow . Good micro, but maybe a little pricey considering the entire package.

I consider myself a novice when it comes to anything hands on. Diagrams were pretty straight forward for the install. Install went easy until I stripped one of the self tightening bolts and Samsung customer support was pretty much useless. Went to the local hardware store and they helped me out. Outside of that, it's a great science oven and looks fantastic in the kitchen. Purchased the extended warranty to be on the safe side.

This microwave does an excellent job of heating our food, as any microwave should. 5 stars on that issue, and we like how it looks.
Two things we have found that we don't love about this microwave...
1. The entire front of it is the door. I don't know how we didn't notice this when checking it out at the store. Once it was in our kitchen, which is a lot smaller than the showroom, it became a lot more noticeable. You open it, and you need to swing your head around the right side of it. The door is just huge.
2. The buttons require some getting used to. At first, we thought our zero button might be broken. Pressing it harder and harder to get it to register does not work. We've learned to think of them as touchscreen buttons, and now we're getting better at it, but it should be easier. I don't want to have to explain to houseguests how to use the microwave.
Like any appliance, my advice is to check it out in the store before buying, and make sure you like these unique features.
