QuestionIce production - how much ice production does this refrigerator have? Ours has been in about a week and it seems I can only get enough ice for 3 drinks even after not getting ice over night. Seems like ice production is very low.

- Answer Ice production is not only low, but I am actually researching this fridge because we own one and we are having issues with the icemaker not working. Also, sometimes when it is working, it will dispense some water before the ice like the ice melted inside the icemaker. So frustrating! Samsung wants us to pay to have someone come out to diagnose the problem and best buy won't do anything because we didn't buy the insurance. We did buy the insurance on our dishwasher which had a crack in it and we were told that the policy doesn't cover cracks! No matter what you do, you can't win. I won't be buying from Best Buy again! It's the worst buy.

- Answer This icemaker failed within 2 months and Samsung could not find anyone to fix it...they have horrible customer service and give you the run around! One of the Reps actually said they had a concern with the seal that goes around the icemaker.

QuestionWhich sections are the "Flex zones" ? I've seen on other questions that the bottom RIGHT can be a freezer / refrigerator. What about the bottom LEFT ?

- Answer The bottom left is a freezer, with the ability to set the temperature from +5 to -8 degrees F. The flex zone on the bottom right can be set to +41, +30, +23 degrees F or to the same temperature as the left compartment set point.

- Answer Hi PJK, if you are looking to put the refrigerator in a corner you will need at least 2 inches on all sides to open the doors parallel to the side of the refrigerator. To open the doors to their fullest, you will want at least 12 inches on either side of the refrigerator. Thanks, ^Rosi

QuestionThe manual for this refrigerator states as a warning that the supply line (behind frig) for the water must be turned off prior to replacing the water filter. Is this true? I have to pull the refrigerator out of its place to put in a new water filter?

- Answer Excellent question! It is definitely recommended to turn off the water supply when changing the water filter due to the buildup of pressure possibly causing unnecessary difficulty removing the old filter. The water supply can be turned off behind the refrigerator or at any of the source locations based on the home's setup. ^Jecca

QuestionThe ice cubes this fridge makes seem smaller than other fridges, consequently, it does not crush them very well. Have others noted this problem?

- Answer Actually, I am researching this fridge because we own one and we are having issues with the icemaker not working. - Answer You're very welcome, Liane! The filter indicator light runs on a timer. For this model refrigerator, press and hold the "Crushed Ice" button for 3 seconds to reset the filter light. ^Jecca

QuestionI have a whole house water purifier system in my house. I want to know if the showcase flex uses a bypass plug or cartridge bc I won’t need to filter my water through the filter cartridge. I still want to have access to water and ice from fridge

QuestionIf someone is getting ice or water through the dispenser and someone else opens the right hand fridge door does the dispenser stop working? Also, how are the shelves for cleaning? Are there unreachable crevices or pretty smooth? Thank you!
