QuestionIs the whistling noise made by the ice maker common?Every 4 hours when it makes ice, there is a very loud, annoying whistling noise. The service guy says they all do this...The refridgerator is 2 days old. I cant believe this would be acceptable to most people. How do we get it fixed?

- Answer I got rid of the noise by partially closing the water supply valve. Adjust the valve by closing it then opening it up a little at a time while checking flow from the ice dispenser. I got good flow with the valve one third open and the noise went away.

QuestionHow easy is it to keep this particular stainless steel finish clean? I know some are slightly textured and that helps a bit. I don't want to spend all my time wiping it down.

- Answer After delivery and installation, my new fridge had all kinds of dirty handprints on it. I used my Norwex cleaning clothes to clean and polish the stainless exterior. These cloths do a beautiful job. Purchased the set from Amazon prime. Expensive but well worth it--no cleaning sprays or chemicals required. Just wipe with cleaning cloth dampened with water and then wipe dry with the polishing cloth. Works great on mirrors, glass stovetops, windows, and glass framed artwork!

- Answer Thanks for your interest in the RS22HDHPNSR. While Samsung does have several French Door Refrigerators available without the ice and water dispenser in the door, all Side by Side models do currently have this feature. - Ms. Samsung

QuestionActual height?What is the true height of this refrigerator? The specs list the height to the top of the door hinge at 68.5", but elsewhere lists the height as 70.18". I'm limited by my cabinets to a max height of 69" so I need to be sure.

- Answer The RS22HDHPNSR is 68-5/8" high to the top of the case (behind the hinges) and 69-1/4" high to the top of the door and hinges. The height is adjustable for leveling, which could account for some variation in the height at the front with the door and hinges. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

- Answer The filter model number for this unit will be listed in the user manual, and there is an indicator light in the digital panel that will let you know when the filter needs to be changed.

QuestionI've seen varying answers to this so I just want to confirm... My opening is framed at 36" wide, will this fridge fit? There is plenty of space around the fridge to vent, I am concerned about fitting through the frame and the doors opening properly.

- Answer Hi there, it should fit through that 36" frame since the refrigerator is 35 15/16" width. However, you need a minimum clearance of 2” (50 mm) between the refrigerator and wall to allow the door to swing open. QuestionWidth with doors open?Are these zero clearance doors? How much space do I need to allow on either side of the doors to open and clear my cabinets?

- Answer Hi Becca, The door hinges on the RS22HDHPNSR are not zero clearance, and the Refrigerator should ideally be installed so the front edge of the case is flush with your cabinet fronts rather than recessing it so the doors are flush. This should allow the doors to swing open freely. If either side is opening into a perpendicular wall or cabinet, at least 1-1/4" on that side is recommended for the hinge to clear, or at least 2-1/2" if the handle will make contact as well. These dimensions would enable the door to open 90-degrees. For the doors to swing open completely (165-degrees on both sides), a total of 67-7/8" would be needed. These and other dimensions are available for your review in the User Manual, which can be downloaded as a pdf file from Samsung's website. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung
