No. There are 2 temperature settings, one for the frig section and one for the freezer. The temperature display is your settings and not the actual reading of the interior. You can leave the door open for hours and the temperature display does not change. The flex zone has its own temperature setting inside the drawer. Again, it sets the temperature but does not read the temp. The flex zone is also not very accurate to your temperature setting. You can set it at 29 degrees but the minute you open the drawer, it can read at 37 degrees pretty quickly with an actual thermometer (separate purchase).
