QuestionReading the reviews it looks like the ice maker in this fridge is a serious weak point that's even the subject of a class action lawsuit? I don't really like ice makers anyway, is it possible to not hook the ice maker up when the fridge is installed?

- Answer I suppose you could choose not to hook up the water supply, but then you wouldn’t get the water from the dispenser either. You can turn off the ice maker as an alternative if you do hook up the water supply. I don’t use the ice maker that often, but it meets my daily needs. It is very slow, and should I need a lot of ice, I’m sure it would not be adequate.

- Answer I didn't see a touch-up paint option. I fixed a scratch on mine by going over the scratch with a black sharpie, immediately wiping off the excess from the scratch area and surrounding film, then repeating.

QuestionIs it possible to use it without the water filter? I'd like connect my RO system and not use the filter in the fridge. Don't want to spend on filter replacement every 6 months.

- Answer On p.23 of the User Manual, there's a discussion on RO water supplies. It implies you can remove the water filter, but please read for yourself - I might be misunderstanding as I don't know much about RO.

QuestionHi, On your R model you mark on technical detail 15Amps consumption and on the G model you have 5.3A. But your energy star quote is 678KWh/year. Is there a mistake somewhere ?? On my part, I'M off the grid so I'm concern. Regards
