Just found mold in the water pitcher of my two year old Samsung four door refrig. Disgusted and concerned because I use this water to fill my coffeemaker. Will clean with hot water and white vinegar but wonder about water in ice maker. Samsung should notify all owners regarding this problem. Also my refrig is clean no mold on any surface.

The compressor on ours just went out which is why I'm on here giving a one star review but the water pitcher is a convenience that we've loved. I'm just not sure about the rest of the components they make this out of.

I did not see anything in the reviews stating this and did not know it was a problem others had until I saw your question. I did clean it and so far (about another week since then) it has not happened again. Fingers crossed. Will contact Best Buy or Samsung if it happens again.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's not black mold, it's mildew. Black mold forms inside of the wood or drywall it's consuming. Black mold doesn't consume plastic. This is not a Samsung issue, this is just life. You have to clean the pitcher. If cleaning the pitcher ever 1-2 weeks is a problem, then just use the water spout and don't insert the pitcher into the fridge unless you need it for an event.
