I'm not sure about the range but this refrigerator has a nice attractive finish, just like a brand new stainless steel sink, maybe better. I wasn't sure how it would look with all of my white appliances while shopping on-line. We checked it out in the store & decided it would not look out of place at all. I did take a picture of it with the flash & it looked very shiny, like you say, but I think it's a beautiful finish & will work with any color you put against it.
