• I would be a little nervous about that tight of an installation - mostly because this unit vents not just through the back, but via small outlets on both sides as well...

• Thanks for the question. Samsung recommends leaving at least 3/8" on the top and sides and 1" behind the RF25HMEDBSR for air circulation and ease of movement. The main vents are located in the back. - Ms. Samsung

• I believe that the main circulation is in the back where you need 2 inches. Ours is tight ... 1/8 inch on the sides ... with no issues. We do however have 2 inches on the top as well.
