The DW80F600UTS, like other Samsung Dishwashers, uses a fan-assisted Condensation Drying system to dry the dishes. This method saves energy by relying on the residual heat on the dishes to evaporate the water, and is also safer for plastics and delicate items. Adding a rinse aid and selecting the Sanitize option when appropriate aid the drying process, as well. Thanks for your interest! Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does dry the dishes but not like my old unit which had a heating element/cycle. If the dish has a conclave design it will retain some moisture...likely the same with other versions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It dries, but not very well. It uses heat to dry, but there are no steams vents to release the evaporation like most dishwashers have. Therefore, the steam condenses a little and leaves dishes wet. It's a little frustrating.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Plastics on the top rack don't dry well, but I've never had a dishwasher that did dry them. Everything else is dry at the end of the cycle.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Like most dishwashers it has a heating element that dries the dishes. This dish washer does a better job at drying the dishes than the ones I have had/used in the past.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In our house, we have rarely ever used the "dry" cycle on any machine. In the DW80F600UTS model, there is no drying cycle. However, there is a "sanitize" button. We have never used it. In a direct answer to the question, the lower level dries well, generally without any water spots, even without a rinse solution. The upper level doesn't get as dry as the lower level. If there is any remaining water on the glasses or other things on the top, we simply wipe them off with a paper towel or a drying rag. Again, I don't know if this is different with the Sanitize feature turned on or not. We have never used it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As with other dishwashers, it is recommended that you use rinse aid. I've always used rinse aid. The dishes come out sparkly clean and DRY.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is no heated dry, you just have to open the dishwasher a little and let it air dry.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn't. Bad call if that's what you wanted.
