• You have to have the door open to set controls. When controls selected and door is shut, a "success tone" or beep is heard to tell you machine has started.

• No the door does not need to be closed to set it. Make your selections press START then close the door. The washer will start a few seconds after you close thw door.

• You have to set the controls before you shut the door. There is a time delay option available.

• You set the cycle and then close the door and the dishwasher will start.
