“How long can drain tube run be from dishwasher to sink I have an island install I need to run the drain under the floors through joist and back up to sink drain This run will be aproximately 9' Will this and or any other model be able to handle this 9' span and or how long does mfg suggest waste run can be”

Thank you for the question. Samsung recommends installing the dishwasher within 9.8 ft of the sink, so yours is within the recommended distance. However, I would suggest reviewing the installation guide which can be downloaded from Samsung's website to make sure your 9' measurement allows for the minimum height required for the hose to be hung to prevent backflow, in the event there is no air gap. The drain hose that comes factory installed on your dishwasher is approximately 5' long, and can be extended by purchasing another section of hose, then attaching it to the original hose by clamping them together with a steel sleeve. - Ms. Samsung
