I'm thinking it is a design flaw because my frigidare does the same thing.I have tried all kinds of things to block it and I can't. So,,,,I gave my frige, which makes tons of ice, to my son and bought a French door. Then no problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Betty, I would go to the SamSung website and contact SamSung directly. I hope you have done this by now.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the same fridge and it did this when it was first installed because it was not level.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try setting the ice tray further back. Also do not let it get extremely full. If that does not work. Contact Geek Squad if you got the warranty.

Please try again later.Hi Betty, I'm sorry to hear ice is falling behind the bin, which is likely occurring because the ice is piling too high in areas of the bin not "checked" by the feeler arm that signals when the bin is full to stop ice production. If you open and close the drawer slowly, the ice should be less likely to escape the bin. The most reliable solution is to turn the ice maker off by pressing the Ice Off button on the control panel when the level is ice is lower than the cutout area on the back of the bin. Simply press the Ice Off button again to turn the ice maker back on, as needed. Thanks for the question, Ms. Samsung
