A copper supply can be used. I have one on mine that was existing in my house. Installers wont switch out to a new non copper kit for you because it could expose them to risk of leaks. BB sells the newer kits (non copper). Youll need to investigate whether you can purchase copper from BB or hardware/ diy store.
