You shouldn't have any problem with the doors opening on the cabinet side since the fridge sticks out farther than the cabinets. I have my fridge 2 1/2" away from the wall on the right side and tight against the countertop on the left side. At 2 1/2" from the wall when I open the door at 90 degrees I have 3/4" from the face of the door to the wall. In my scenario this fridge fits perfect. Hope this helps.
