“I have heard conflicting answers to my question. Do you need to turn off the water to change the filter? The installer said no, but I read that you do need to turn off the water. Ours is in a confined space and it is not easy to move out.”

The installer told me yes I did, but when I followed the instructions provided with the filter(bought directly from Samsung) it did not indicate to turn off the water. All I did was pulled out the old and put in the new.
