  • QuestionDo you really have to shut off the water to the frig when you change the water filter? I can't imagine pulling the frig out and shutting water off just to change filter.

    • Answer Hi there, I can answer that for you. Samsung does recommend shutting the water supply off and relieving the pressure from your Water Filter Housing. This will allow you to remove and replace the filter with ease and no damage can occur. Also you can tackle the maintenance of the back of the fridge to ensure no dust build up.   • QuestionTrying to figure out what cubic foot I need to fit in the opening. The opening is 36 in across and 28 in deep. what cubic foot would I need?

    • Answer Just keep in mind that even though it fits in a 36 inch opening, if against a wall on one side, you won’t be able to fully access the shelves because the door is so think it will block a bit of the opening.

  • QuestionWe had our fridge installed not quite 48 hours. I was wondering how often the ice bin fills. We emptied it twice. Last time was few hours ago. I'm a little confused on the reset thing and the lock. Just wanting to be sure all is good.

After you have installed your refrigerator and plugged it in, follow these instructions to ensure proper ice making and to keep the ice bucket full of ice: 1. Let the refrigerator operate for at least 24 hours to ensure optimal performance. 2. Dispense the first 4 to 6 ice cubes into a glass. 3. Wait another 8 hours and dispense another 4 to 6 ice cubes. 4. Then, wait another 16 hours and dispense the first glass full of ice.
