• It's really easy to take the filter out..The filter is inside the fridge between the drawers. It's a bit harder to push the new filter in and twist to lock. You do not have to move the fridge.

• You do not need to move fridge or shut off water line. It is located inside the fridge area and you simply twist and pull out. Push in new one and twist. Make sure it's fully inserted and your done.

• The filter is between two of the crispers and does not require shutting off the water to change.

• Hi Denise, It's recommended that you turn the water valve off when replacing the filter to alleviate pressure in the lines that can make it difficult to remove and replace the filter. This may not be necessary, but it can also help to prevent damage to the filter housing from forcing the cartridge into position. Thanks for the question, Ms. Samsung
