“What is the standard warranty that this refrigerator comes with? The sales guy mentioned something about possibly 10 years but I only see 1 yr?”

The warranty cover 3 areas. 1. 10 years for the compressor 2. 5 years for the seal 3. 1 year for everything else.

I have yet to find maytag, kitchenaid, lg, samsung, frigidaire, or whirlpool offer over 1 year on the board. The estimated life span is 7 years now. The board itself averages around $1000, thus why its a hard decision. I paid 40 bucks and done something Ive yet to see anyone else do and put a surge protector on mine. Its not hard to walk into a local store and usually theres one or two refrigerators that has had the board replaced and back up for resell.
