“can this product be built-in? have a built-in sub zero refrigerator - very old. want to replace it with a samsung. The sub zero is built-in. You can hardly know it's a refrigerator until you open it. Visitors think it's a drawer. it's old and doesn't cool very well. Samsung is my prefered choice now. need it ASAP. CONCERNED IF IT CAN FIT INTO THE SUBZERO SPOT.”

No it can't be built in. Need plenty of air supply to back and top. It is also very very large.

The RF28HMEDBSR measures 35-3/4" wide by 68-7/8" high without the hinges (70" with them) and has a case depth of 29-1/2". The depth with the doors but without handles is 34"; 36-1/2" with the handles. Samsung recommends leaving 3/8" above and on each side of the Refrigerator, and 1" behind it. If your previous Refrigerator was counter depth and you'd prefer to retain that built-in look, you may want to consider the 23.5 cubic foot RF24FSEDBSR which has comparable features to the 28 cubic foot full depth version but in a counter depth design. - Ms. Samsung
