Great question, Sabrina. This refrigerator is a 2019 model, and there should be no problem with the ice maker. For the ice maker to operate properly, water pressure must be between 20 and 125 psi (138 and 862 kPa). If the refrigerator is installed in an area with low water pressure (below 20 psi / 138 kPa), you can install a booster pump to compensate for the low pressure. After you turn on the refrigerator, let the ice maker make ice for 1 to 2 days. Over that period of time, throw out the first 1 or 2 buckets of ice the ice maker makes to ensure all impurities have been removed from the water line. Have a great day. Melardo
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They have promised me a new refrigerator because they can’t find anyone trained to repair this refrigerator - another issue has come up - the freezer doesn’t seem to be holding its temperature at 0 - the ice cream is always soft and even the ice cubes are not nice and clear but look almost sponge like with little air bubbles☹️
