All audio is a complicated mess unfortunately and means experimentation. Double check how you are streaming audio (PCM, Bitstream, Uncompressed, etc.) and see if that fixes the volume issue. Also my Comcast box also has settings for audio in addition to the television! I can't go above 60 on the volume without having pictures fall of the wall!!! Also check with your local Best Buy store. My local folks in that TV/Audio area really know their stuff and how to troubleshoot.
