QuestionI just purchased the sound bar listed above. Cannot get sound thru it.Do I need to use an HDMI cable instead of the optical cable?

- Answer I used the optical cable, make sure you select the proper funtion on your tv, (also the volume button on the remote is a single button, one for volume one for bass. Push up and down.) And have the sound bar set to the proper input. The volume button on the remote stumped me for a couple of minutes.

- Answer I would expect so. Most vizio TVs, like most TVs sold in the past 8 years, have digital optical out - “toslink” cable. This single cable will connect the two devices.

- Answer Yes, you are able to do so IF you have a working unit. Unfortunately, mine was defected but if yours is working properly you should sync your phone via Bluetooth with no problem.

- Answer There is no wire to the sub woofer, it is bluetooth, amp and speaker in one cabinet.there are no input jacks on the Sub Woofer. The sound bar has a 1/8 inch jack imputes for line imputes not ,NOT a amplifier output.
