I have this hooked up to a sony Bravia 50 inch 2015 model don't know number and I did hook it to a really old 50 in sony Bravia from 1990s with both optic and HDMI arc on newer one. worked like a charm... they are pretty universal generally but call sony and samsung and ask about compatibility and or ports and hook up options

As long as your tv has either a optical or hdmi port (or both) then yes, this unit will work.
