I have this hooked up VIA HDMI along with my XBOX and direct TV. IF you connect this HDMI into your TV that's all you have to do. The TV pushes the sound signal into your devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a breeze to hook up. Does your TV have HDMI Arc.. that is a better way to go .. specifically for audio. If it doesn't have that or the optical port (be sure its older than HDMI Arc and a lot of TVS have them they are VERY small and square and covered with a flap so not that easy to spot if your not familar. check your model on sharp website. you could try a regular HDMI port out from TV but I don't know if that would work. you could call samsung and ask if there is a compatable TV list. the cable box is independant for me does not run through sound bar cable into box out and into TV sound out of TV into sound bar. the sound bar has a few ports that you can hook up extras but not a lot it should have an HDIM port for the blue ray player if the TV sound out doesn't care the sound for the bluray with it. Good luck the samsung folks can answer the bluray question too.
