Q: QuestionBluetooth range is about 10 feet and even at that range the sound cuts in and out constantly. Are others experiencing this issue. I like the soundbar but need Bluetooth to function properly at a reasonable distance or it will be returned.

• A:Answer I have run into this issue as well, as have many others on Samsung forums. I believe the problem is that the Bluetooth receivers/transmitters are poor quality. When I turn off the sub woofer (also Bluetooth), the sound stops cutting in and out, regardless of where I am in the room. As soon as the sub woofer is turned back on, it cuts in and out again, even when I am a foot away. The only two solutions i have found are to leave your music player as close to the sound bar without moving it, or to turn off the sub woofer.

Q: QuestionCan this soundbar be connected to a Optima projector via a stereo mini-jack-to-pin-jack cable, or another type of cable or adapter. I tried using an hdmi cable from the projector to the soundbar but can't get any sound.

• A:Answer Your sound does not come from your projector. You need to use the sound bar as the middle man in an HDMI set up. The sound bar has bluetooth, hdmi, headphone jack, and optical.

Q: QuestionYou say the rear speakers are free with the purchase. How do they hook up? Are they wireless? Do they need power?

• A:Answer Wireless from soundbar to rear receiver (which must be plugged in). Then there are speaker wires running from rear reciever to the two sattelite speakers. Only trick is initial wireless setup connection with soundbar. Must use soundbar remote to program wireless connection with sattelite speakers as per sattellite speaker instructions. Once blue light on rear receiver is steady blue (no longer blinking), connection established. I then used soundbar remote to turn up sattelite speakers all the way to 6.

• A:Answer I have mine connected to the TV with an optical cable (Included) and it does turn on and off with the TV. I was also able to program my Xfinity X1 Voice Remote and my Apple TV remote to control the volume so it behaves like it's part of the TV. I'm not sure about the rear speakers.

• A:Answer If your PC has an SPDIF out (optical) then you can hook up your PC to the sound bar. You can also use the mono out on your PC to the Soundbar. Tthe sound bar has a Mono and DIF input connections, not as clear as the SPDIF connection, but still works.

• A:Answer Yes, a good soundbar is as good as surround sound. Keep in mind, you pay for what you want. I haven't done a comparison of surround sound systems and soundbars, but this Samsung 3.1 is every bit as good as a mid range surround system. Several of my friends have 'theater rooms' in their basements designed around acoustics and viewing pleasure and this does not compete with that, but the price jump to the next step in quality is double or more.
