The amount of foam that is visible in the WF431ABP and other models with the Power Foam feature can vary depending on several factors, including the size of the load, the cycle that's selected, the type and amount of detergent and the kinds of fabrics being washed, since it penetrates different fabrics at different rates. PowerFoam is beneficial because it pre-dissolves the detergent by infusing the mixture of detergent and water with air, so what's important is not how much foam is visible, but whether the detergent has been pre-dissolved so it can penetrate fabrics faster and more thoroughly.
