You can still get white. But.... Depending on the manufacturer, their promotions, and what people are buying it may be hard to get or more money. For example, the Samsung fridge we got on a Black Friday sale at Best Buy was $1800. The white version (everything else the same) was $3300. Guess which one we bought?

I can't speak for other manufacturers, but I can tell you that Samsung's preferred cook top material for electric ranges has been ceramic-glass all along. Customers who choose the smooth cook top usually do so because of the premium aesthetics. While the ceramic glass cook top can scratch if use and care instructions are not followed, some actually find it easier to clean since crumbs and spills can't fall under the coils. Besides cleaning up spills as they occur, dust and fingerprints can easily be wiped off with a damp sponge or cloth. - Ms. Samsung
