“Ice maker supply lines. Has anybody used a stainless steel braided supply line with 1/4" compression nuts and the O-ring inside the nuts to supply water to the icemakers? Samsung responded by stating they can only recommend the supply lines listed in the owner's manual. Also if anyone has used the plastic supply line with the molded flared ends, have you had any issues, such as leaking etc.?”

Yes, I use the stainless braided supply line, I won't use anything else. Let's just say it is a lot safer. In fact when our old fridge died we just unscrewed the supply line from that one, had our new Samsung installed and the installer hooked the stainless line right up to our new fridge no problems
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We purchased our unit at, and had it installed by Best Buy. They actually used a stainless braided hose and it works great. I am a licensed plumbing contractor and would always recommend stainless braided hoses instead of plastic. If you've ever heard of or seen the flood damage caused by a burst plastic hose, you would insist on them!
