A:AnswerI found the answer elsewhere online as it seems to be another common problem with this piece of garbage. The ice-maker was completely cleaned of everything including ice/frost. There's a white piece of plastic with 2 screws towards the top of the unit. Remove the 2 screws and plastic. Slide back in. Didn't think I could hate this piece of junk anymore than I did while defrosting it and listening to it continually beep in defrost mode -- then it came time to slide that sucker back in. I want the hours of my life back.
A:AnswerThere is a spring loaded latch on the side of the freezer drawer. when the drawer is pulled out the spring is compressed, it is so when the drawer is closed the spring latch keeps the drawer closed tight. the latch does not stay engaged and the poping sound you hear is the spring popping the latch.
A:AnswerYes, I use the stainless braided supply line, I won't use anything else. Let's just say it is a lot safer. In fact when our old fridge died we just unscrewed the supply line from that one, had our new Samsung installed and the installer hooked the stainless line right up to our new fridge no problems
A:AnswerAfter plugging in the RF323, it will take several hours for it to cool, and as much as 24 hours for the refrigerator and freezer to cool completely. This depends on several factors, including the starting and set temperatures and the temperature of food placed in side. If, for example, the food you're storing is colder than the set temperature to start with, this may help to speed up the cooling process; if the items are warmer, this can cause it to take longer to cool. Since some foods should not be stored below certain temperatures, it's a good idea to wait until the refrigerator is sufficiently cool to store these items. Similarly, frozen items should not be placed in the freezer until it's cold enough to prevent them from thawing.
For more information on getting started with your new refrigerator, please refer to page 11 of the user manual.
Thank you for choosing Samsung!

A:AnswerYes you can do that on the door control panel. It tells you in the instructions how to turn off the ice makers if you are going on a vacation or someting.
A:AnswerThanks for your interest. Besides the larger capacity of the RF323TEDBSR compared to the RFG297HDRS (32 cu. ft. vs. 29 cu. ft., respectively), the RF323TEDBSR also features new HE LED lighting, which is even more efficient than the LED lighting in the RFG297HDRS; the new Ice Master icemaker which takes up less space in the fridge but produces even more ice; and a second icemaker in the freezer compartment. Total estimated ice production for the larger Dual Ice model is nearly 12 pounds per day, which is almost double that of the RFG297HDRS at about 6-1/2 pounds. It's worth noting that, while the height and width of the two models are the same, the RF323TEDBSR has a case depth of 30-7/8" vs. 29-1/4" for the RFG297HDRS.

A:AnswerThanks for the question. Turning off the water supply line to replace the filter is not a requirement, but doing so may help to alleviate pressure in the lines if you find it difficult to remove the old cartridge or insert a new one.
- Ms. Samsung
A:AnswerIt doesn't make a lot of ice it's actually slow on the ice it's ok for us, but if we had kids or more people in the house it would be a problem. If you are going to have a party you might need to buy ice. Last time we had company we bought ice.
A:AnswerSamsung recommends changing the filter when the indicator light on the control panel turns red, which is usually after 300 gallons or about 6 months depending on your home's water supply and use.

A:AnswerThanks for the question. There are a number of factors that can affect the Refrigerator's ability to make and dispense ice, including temperature, water pressure, and control panel settings. Please make sure the incoming water valve is turned on, your water filter is fresh (unclogged), both the Refrigerator and Freezer are set to the recommended temperatures, and the ice maker is turned on. If the issue persists, please call 888-BEST BUY or 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to help you find a solution.

A:AnswerThe maximum depth of the RF323TEDBSR when the freezer drawer is fully extended is 55-7/8". When the refrigerator is new, it may be necessary to apply extra pressure to pull the drawer out the whole way since the rails may not be fully lubricated.
Thanks for the question,
Ms. Samsung
A:AnswerThe RF323TEDBSR measures 35-3/4" wide by 70" tall with the hinges (68-7/8" without) by 35-3/4" deep without the handles. The case depth (without the doors) is 30-7/8".
Thanks for the question,
Ms. Samsung
A:AnswerI'm sorry to hear you're having an issue with the water and ice dispenser on your RF323. There are several factors that could effect the dispenser's operation. First, if the icemakers are producing ice and it's only the dispenser that isn't working, it's possible the control panel is locked, which also disables the dispenser, or the wiring harness and water connection under the left door hinge cover are not fully connected. Refer to page 8 of the user manual for instructions to disconnect and reconnect these items. To release the Child Lock, press the Ice Off button for at least 3 seconds. With the control panel unlocked, please also make sure that either water or an ice type is selected prior to pressing the lever.
If the icemaker is not producing ice, please check the following, as well:
- Is the supplied water pressure at the recommended 20-125 psi?
- Is the water valve turned on all the way and the water line free of bends or kinks that could obstruct the flow?
- Is the water filter cartridge installed correctly, with the lock indicator marks aligned? Try bleeding air from the lines by holding the water dispenser lever for an extended period of time until water flows, then dispense 5-6 gallons of water to bleed the air.
- Are the fridge and freezer set to the recommended 37°F and 0°F, respectively? If the temperatures are set too low, the water line could freeze; if the freezer is not cold enough, it can't make ice.
- Press the icemaker Test buttons (on the right side of the upper icemaker and the bottom of the lower icemaker) which should cause the trays to rotate then fill with water.
After checking all of the above, if the water still will not dispense, it is possible that your filter is clogged or partially clogged. Try removing the filter temporarily to see if the water will dispense. It may be necessary to press the lever for an extended period again to bleed air from the lines. If the water dispenses without a filter installed, you'll need to replace the cartridge with a new one. If water still won't dispense, please call 888-BEST BUY or 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you further.

A:AnswerThe RF323TEDBBC and the RF323TEDBBC/AA are one and the same. The additional letters at the end of the latter are part of Samsung's internal model code.

A:AnswerThanks for the question. The humming noise you're hearing is likely the compressor, which will run for as long as it needs to in order to maintain the set temperature. In some cases, if the refrigerator is not leveled, the compressor may need to run more to compensate for the doors not closing or sealing properly since this can allow cold air to escape and warmer air to enter. I would start by checking the leveling of the fridge from side to side. Please also check that the fridge has enough clearance around it for air flow, since this can also effect its ability to operate efficiently. Samsung recommends leaving at least 3/8" on the top and sides, and 1" behind the RF323. If anything is leaning against the fridge, it could amplify the humming sound as well.
I hope these suggestions help to reduce the sound you're hearing.

A:AnswerThere are a number of products available that are specifically designed to clean real stainless steel. Simply follow the instructions on the package. Another option is to apply a small amount of baby oil to the stainless finish using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. This will not only clean the stainless steel, but can help prevent fingerprints from recurring. It's important to note that the control panel, which is not real stainless steel, should be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth since applying chemical cleaners could damage it. Specifically, cleaners containing methyl palmitate, methyl linolate, methyl icosanoate or Limonene should not be used to clean the area around the control panel and display.
