After plugging in the RF323, it will take several hours for it to cool, and as much as 24 hours for the refrigerator and freezer to cool completely. This depends on several factors, including the starting and set temperatures and the temperature of food placed in side. If, for example, the food you're storing is colder than the set temperature to start with, this may help to speed up the cooling process; if the items are warmer, this can cause it to take longer to cool. Since some foods should not be stored below certain temperatures, it's a good idea to wait until the refrigerator is sufficiently cool to store these items. Similarly, frozen items should not be placed in the freezer until it's cold enough to prevent them from thawing. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was really surprised when my RF232TEDBSR/AA was installed 12/16/13 at 6 PM 75° day It hit 40° in two hours and made ice in both top and bottom icemakers within four hours. Yes I had ice in my hand from both icemakers by 10 PM. I DID NOT use power cool or power freeze mode under the recommendation of my Best Buy installer. It was also in energy saver mode. On 12/17/13 I dumped out all ice and started to load food. Very happy with the ice production and Constant temperatures. On Christmas day I was able to load all the warm holiday food pans and all after everybody was finished eating. And hit power cool mode. temperature never got above 40° WOW very very impressed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With the power boost functions it cools very quickly, I put my food in as soon as it was installed. I would say it was at temp within an hour. Awesome fridge
