Thanks for the question. The humming noise you're hearing is likely the compressor, which will run for as long as it needs to in order to maintain the set temperature. In some cases, if the refrigerator is not leveled, the compressor may need to run more to compensate for the doors not closing or sealing properly since this can allow cold air to escape and warmer air to enter. I would start by checking the leveling of the fridge from side to side. Please also check that the fridge has enough clearance around it for air flow, since this can also effect its ability to operate efficiently. Samsung recommends leaving at least 3/8" on the top and sides, and 1" behind the RF323. If anything is leaning against the fridge, it could amplify the humming sound as well.
