When the ice buckets are removed and the ice maker is disabled, the space can be used for extra space as long as the food will not touch the ice maker as it can damage it when food solidifies/gets frozen. It is not recommended to use the ice buckets for food storage as there is a high risk of frozen food damaging the ice maker when its doors are opened or closed. Leo

• A:Answer Yes, you can. Took me too long to locate how to. On the inside panel of the fridge, you're going to see several options. 1. ice Maker on- Fridge Compartment only. 2. Cubed Ice on - Freezer storage. 3. Ice Bits on - Freezer storage. Then pick the combination you want to use.

Q: QuestionCan the Water dispenser/Ice Maker be run without a filter? We just had Culligan installed so it is already filtered so there isn't much of a point to another filter

The freezer makes large cubed ice (one to one and a quarter inches in size). These are dropped into a collection container. It also makes cubes that are one half inch square. These are deposited into a second collection container.
