• I believe I got the "basic" HDMI cable. It was more based on length depending on where you are going to place your tv vs any connecting items (Blu-ray, DVD, Roku, etc).

• A standard hdmi cable works. If you're plugging into a cable provider DVR it's hdmi to hdmi, pick a length

• Gold or platinum coated tips are the best if you buy the cheap ones your going to have to replace them every 4 to 6 months
