A:Answer If your dollar store antenna does not have a coaxial cable I would not recommend using it. if it doesn't, I recommend the MOHU Leaf 50 flat panel antenna. it has a 16 foot coaxial cable and a USB signal amplifier. This one works very well with my Samsung tv. Set it up by hanging the small 10" x 12" antenna panel on a wall where signal strength is greatest then connect one end of the cable to the antenna output connector to the antenna panel. (The amplifier adapter should be powered by a USB adapter in a wall outlet or power strip near the tv's input) and the other end of the antenna cable goes to the cable input on this amplifier adapter and a small cable coming from this amplifier goes to the antenna input on the tv. when it is set up, do a channel scans in the Samsung menu to see if you are picking up stations. you may have to experiment a little by moving the antenna from one wall to another until to find the sweet spot of broadcast signals. Detailed instructions are supplied with this antenna. I ended up having to buy an additional 12' of antenna cable with a male-male splicer because, my sweet spot of broadcast signals were too far away for just the 16' cable. It was a bit of a challenge to set up but, I got it done with about 40 plus broadcast channels available. The only problems I am having are minimal with the use of nearby Microwave ovens or with overhead aircraft which interferes my reception.
