As per checking, there is no option to add a shelf to the bottom of the door, but the good is, this refrigerator model has adjustable shelves (slide in and out) to adjust the height to store taller items with ease and yes, you can remove the ice maker for this refrigerator model.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your Samsung - 21.1 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator with FlexZone and Ice Maker if the refrigerator can be converted to a freezer. Regarding your concern, you can use the freezer as a freezer only, set the entire refrigerator including the freezer to Fridge mode, or turn off the freezer.
I suggest you check this in your user manual for assistance. Please go to page 31.

Thank you for reaching out regarding your Samsung - 21.1 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator with FlexZone™ and Ice Maker is only making less ice. Regarding your concern, the ice maker is capable of making 10 pounds of ice a day, and it's only capable of holding 2 pounds of ice at a time. Once the ice bucket is full, the ice maker will stop.

A:AnswerDelivery people were very courteous and careful in bringing in the refrigerator and setting it exactly where I wanted. Their were no issues since I did not want the ice maker set up and received free delivery and set up.
A:AnswerI have one, and have disconnected & removed the ice maker long ago, and no harm done (it's a waste of freezer space if you don't care for lots of ice on a regular basis.)
