• Yes the WiFi module can be removed. Comes with a plastic cover thats will go in it's place. If you don't want the WiFi functionality look for models that don't have it, including Samsung

• Yes, I took it off and double sided taped it to the bottom of the unit and it still works fine. Useless, but works.
