• Yes, the Child Lock on the WA400PJHDWR locks the control panel to prevent children from turning the machine on or changing the settings, but it does not affect the lock on the lid. - Ms. Samsung

• Yes if you are running a cycle. once cycle is done then the lid is unlocked
