“waste/sand not draining out of the drum or off clothes I replaced my 9 year old front load washer with this Samsung 2 months ago. When washing cloth diapers, I use the rinse and spin mode, soak, wash and then an extra rinse at the end. However, every load of diapers still has waste remnant on it and I have to wipe the drum as well. I never had this issue with my previous machine. (When they were done washing, the diapers were clean as well as the drum.) I have experienced a similar problem with sandy clothes in this washer. When I took the cleaned clothes out, large amounts of sand feel into the floor. Is my machine not rinsing or draining properly?”

I am very disappointed with this machine for similar reasons. It does not clean mud or debris from our clothing. The problem is the so called energy/water saving feature. The water does not fill high enough in the machine to even clean the clothes. I read online reviews that it is a design flaw. Great, make an energy efficient machine that cannot clean clothes properly. What is the point?

I would suggest checking the inlet hose screens on the back of the washer to ensure they're clear and not clogged with debris, you're selecting the appropriate cycles and settings based on the items you're washing, and using the appropriate type and amount of detergent. To improve performance, it may also help to shake any excess waste or sand from the clothes before placing them in the washer.
