No just keep the door open for a little while to be safe
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had front loaders over the last 30 years, Maytag and Kenmore. There are a few things you can do to prevent mold. If you are doing a chlorine bleach load, do it last. I wash my towels last and use a Tide Odor Rescue Pod, which not only deodorizes my towels, but also deodorizes the washer. Most importantly, leave the washer door and detergent dispenser slightly open when finished doing laundry. Never, ever had a problem with mold.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had no problem with mold and this is my second front loading washer. I do have some advice as I leave the door open after I'm done washing a load to let it air dry..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have this same unit, and we have an issue with mold growing inside the dispenser tray. We always leave door and dispenser tray ajar at the end of each cycle. This does absolutely nothing for the horrible drain pipe mold smell that never goes away. I disinfect the units before each wash, and after it's been days between using the machine, and disinfect it after I'm done with my loads.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No issues with mold. What can be an issue with ANY washer is if you keep the door shut all of the time, the moisture within the washer can cause a moldy smell. If this occurs you can run a load with bleach alone, or a lot of the washing machine manufacturers Recommend cleaning tables to eliminate the smell. I have purchased them and they smell lemony. I prefer the bleach, and now leave the door open to vent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have owned a Samsung front load washer for 15 years. I keep a clean kitchen towel to soak up any water left in the seal at the door then use at the bottom to hold the door open. I also regularly drained the large item catcher and drained the water every 3 months. There is also a product for washers called Alfresh I used regularly. This item is sold at grocery store and hardware. I have been extremely happy with my washer and am now having to replace it d/t worn out bearings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Leaving the door open is a great way to prevent it, but I also wash my whites or towels last so that it is the hottest water and possibly bleach in the wash. I also use the Affresh - Wash My Machine. I had to remember to keep draining too!
