• Actually, if you have had it for awhile, it could be part of the recall. We've had ours for almost 2 years now and I was needing service on my washer, and they would not come out until I went thru the recall service. If you have bought it recently, they may have fixed the problem before it was sold. You can go to their Website and you can look it up by your serial number. It is a very painless process. They were very efficient and it only took about a 10 min service call.

• I was informed that it is not. I also was told that Samsung tested and retested to make the machine safer than ever. I suppose after using the machine for 2 years I will know for sure. It is new for me.

• I just purchased this 2 weeks ago and am not aware it was recalled check the website though for Samsung the list should be there I am very happy with mine
