It is supposed to do so, but it does not quite do a good job. The problem is when your load is light in weight but bulky, the water level will never be enough. Then you will see a lot of areas of your clothes above the water level and it takes a long time for those areas to get submerged. Small items like socks, hand towels and T shirts are OK. Large items like a bed sheet never get fully submerged if air is captured, making a bubble. I did a lot of experiment trying to see how I could best use this machine. I liked Deep Wash best, but it leaked during the wash. After the machine does the first cycle of wash for 7-10 minutes, it starts spinning gently (probably to level the load?). While the machine is doing if you hear chap chap sound, the soapy water leaks from the bottom of the machine. If you don't hear the chap chap sound, you are fine without a leak. I tried Deep Wash many times, but the leak was random and never consistent. When The first Geek Squad came over, he could not reproduce any leak and he left without any work. The 2nd Geek Squad came, she saw a leak and determined it was not worth fixing (as it was a brand new machine). I highly recommend you use Deep Wash many times to ensure the washer does not leak from the bottom. I had 2 Samsung washers of the same model, and both had the same leak pattern. No more Samsung.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. We've had this for about a month and so far it seems to do a great job.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Oddly enough the washer selects load size itself based on weight which totally blew me away but it is pretty darn accurate. Make sure to do the calibration procedure first though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I purchased and had the WA45M7050AW installed in early June. I would concur that it doesn't do a great job at determining load size. Because of that it doesn't have enough water on a normal load but does a better job on Deep Wash. I experienced the same problem with the Deep Wash cycle as the other customer did, and found that it leaks from the bottom of the washer. I used a shop vac to suck up the soapy water and had about 2 quarts of water sucked up from the leak. Due to the leak and the machine being less than a month old, I had my washer exchanged for the same model again but the new machine, same model also leaks on Deep Wash. If you don't plan to use Deep Wash the machine is great, but on Deep Wash it leaks quite badly. One additional note .. because it doesn't do a great job determining size of the load it is hard to get the amount of detergent right. Using more than it suggests does help but it is a trial and error approach. Also regarding detergent, if you are using a powder booster like OxyClean with your regular liquid detergent it doesn't want a dry detergent and a wet detergent to be used at the same time from the dispenser. I have had greater success tossing the dry powder booster directly on the clothes in the washing machine and putting the liquid detergent in the dispenser but again due to the difficulty of the machine in determining size of load, it is tricky.
