“Why does this washer has a hot water inlet and an internal heater? Is it mandatory to connect to the hot water inlet as well? What would be the benefit - really hot water?”

Thanks for asking, Pete! The hot water inlet is used to supply hot water using a water hose and is optional as per your washing needs. The internal heater is generally used to increase the temperature of the water that will be used for the steam options. If you do not want to use the hot water supply hose, attach the water intake cap to the hot water supply intake. When you do a wash, ensure you select "Cold". Thank you, and stay safe! ^Chrystel
