If all that checks out then no you don't need a 4k player except for 4k blu ray disks, with a 4k tv its optimal. But if it still has no sound and it did before more than likely it's a singular TV issue. Aka you would need them to exchange it for you

A:AnswerAs far as I have been able to figure out, it only downloads Samsung apps after a Samsung account is created. Just downloading any apps does not seem possible.
