• The only difference between the two is the 6300 comes with the magic remote and the 6290 a basic remote.

• I believe, the 6300 also has bluetooth, whereas the former does not.

• The 6290 is a 2016 model which is the same as the 6300 with 2 differences. The 6300 has Bluetooth, and the remote that comes with the 6300 connects with bluetooth so you don't need to point at the TV for it to work, but the remote functionality is identical.

• According to the specifications on bestbuy.com, the UN40MU6290 has a 39.9" screen whereas the UN40MU6300 has 39.5". I'm hoping someone could actually confirm either specifications for these models by actually measuring it.
